Overview
DreamTec has developed a novel oral COVID‑19 vaccine using genetically engineered Bacillus subtilis spores displaying the SARS-CoV‑2 spike protein receptor-binding domain. Pilot studies in healthy volunteers showed increased neutralizing antibody levels after administration. Preclinical animal data indicated no alarming side effects and induction of IgG/IgM antibodies. The product aims to be stable at room temperature for up to six months and easy to administer orally; Phase I trials are planned or imminent as of the latest reports.
