DryShield

DryShield is a dental medical device company focused on in-treatment patient isolation systems for chairside dental procedures. Its flagship DryShield system integrates high-suction evacuation, saliva management, bite block, tongue shield, and oral pathway protection into a single device intended to improve procedural efficiency, visibility, and patient safety. The company serves the dental care market rather than the biopharma drug-development market, so it does not have a therapeutic pipeline in the traditional biotech sense. DryShield was founded in 2011 in Fountain Valley, California, and was acquired by Solmetex in April 2022. Following the acquisition, the DryShield product line has continued to be marketed commercially through Solmetex.
