DSI Holding Company, Inc., operating primarily through its subsidiary DSI Renal, was a prominent healthcare services provider specializing in dialysis care for patients with chronic kidney failure. Founded in 2003 and based in Nashville, Tennessee, the company expanded rapidly through strategic acquisitions, most notably the purchase of over 100 dialysis centers from Fresenius Medical Care in 2006. DSI Renal provided a range of services including in-center hemodialysis, home dialysis programs, and acute renal care in hospital settings. The company was acquired by DaVita in 2011 for approximately $689 million, and subsequent operations were later merged with U.S. Renal Care in 2016.
