DTx Pharma is a preclinical-stage biotechnology company specializing in the development of RNA-based therapeutics for neuroscience and neuromuscular indications. The company's proprietary Fatty Acid Ligand Conjugated Oligonucleotide (FALCON) platform enables the delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA) to tissues beyond the liver, specifically targeting the peripheral nervous system and muscle cells. Its lead candidate, DTx-1252, is designed to treat Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 1A (CMT1A) by reducing the overexpression of the PMP22 protein. DTx Pharma also advances programs for Myotonic Dystrophy Type 1 (DM1) and other neurological disorders. In July 2023, the company was acquired by Novartis for $500 million upfront and up to $500 million in potential milestones.
