Duraswitch Industries

Duraswitch Industries, Inc. (later known as Inplay Technologies) was a technology company specializing in the development and licensing of patented electronic switch technologies, most notably the PushGate® magnetic-based switch. Its products were designed to combine the tactile feedback of mechanical switches with the durability and slim profile of membrane switches, making them ideal for high-reliability environments such as medical devices, aerospace, and industrial controls. The company operated primarily through a licensing model, enabling original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to integrate its human-machine interface (HMI) solutions into products like patient monitors and diagnostic equipment. In 2005, the company changed its name to Inplay Technologies to reflect a broader focus on human interface devices before being acquired by N-trig in 2008. Today, the Duraswitch technology portfolio is managed and licensed by Advanced Input Systems.
