Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group

The Dutch Colorectal Cancer Group (DCCG) is a prominent multidisciplinary research collaboration focused on improving the diagnosis and treatment of colorectal cancer in the Netherlands. Established in 1994, the group coordinates large-scale, multicenter clinical trials that have significantly shaped international standards of care, most notably through the CAIRO study series. The DCCG facilitates cooperation among medical oncologists, surgeons, radiotherapists, pathologists, and radiologists across nearly all Dutch hospitals. In addition to interventional trials, the organization manages the Prospective Dutch Colorectal Cancer Cohort (PLCRC), one of the world's largest clinical data and biobank registries for colorectal cancer. Their work is instrumental in advancing personalized medicine and optimizing surgical and systemic therapy outcomes.
