Company intelligence / Profile preview
Dynamic Synthesis was a prominent global Custom Manufacturing Organization (CMO) that provided specialized chemical synthesis services to the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries. Formed as a division of Dynamit Nobel under MG Technologies, the entity integrated the capabilities of several established firms, including Finorga, Rohner, and Dynamit Nobel Special Chemistry. The company was widely recognized for its technical expertise in complex multi-step organic synthesis, hazardous chemistry, and the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and advanced intermediates. In 2004, Dynamic Synthesis was acquired by Rockwood Specialties as part of a multi-billion dollar divestiture by MG Technologies. Following Albemarle Corporation's acquisition of Rockwood in 2015, the operations were integrated into Albemarle's Fine Chemistry Services business unit.
