Eager Therapeutics is an Australian biotechnology company dedicated to developing novel small molecule drugs that stimulate the immune system to target cancer. The company's core technology focuses on the induction of NKG2D ligands, such as MICA and MICB, on the surface of tumor cells. These ligands act as signals that trigger Natural Killer (NK) cells and cytotoxic T cells to attack the tumor, a process often suppressed by cancer cells to avoid immune surveillance. By pharmacologically upregulating these ligands, Eager Therapeutics aims to provide a potent and specific way to treat various cancers, including those resistant to current immunotherapies.
