EaglePicher Pharmaceutical Services was a premier contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) focused on the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The company established a strong reputation for its specialized capabilities in high-potency APIs (HPAPIs) and complex organic synthesis. Operating out of its facility in Lenexa, Kansas, it supported pharmaceutical clients from early-stage clinical development through to commercial supply. In November 2010, the company was acquired by Cambrex Corporation for approximately $65 million. This acquisition allowed Cambrex to integrate EaglePicher's expertise in high-potency manufacturing into its global service offerings. Today, the former EaglePicher operations continue to function as a key component of Cambrex's small molecule manufacturing network.
