Company intelligence / Profile preview
EAS Sports Nutrition, originally known as Experimental and Applied Sciences, was a pioneer in the sports supplement industry, focusing on performance-enhancing products for athletes and bodybuilders. Founded in 1992, the company gained significant prominence through its Myoplex line of meal replacement shakes and its association with Bill Phillips' Body-for-LIFE program. EAS was the first company to bring creatine monohydrate to the US market, setting a standard for science-based sports nutrition. In 2004, the brand was acquired by Abbott Laboratories, which integrated it into its Abbott Nutrition division. However, due to shifting market dynamics and competition, Abbott discontinued the EAS brand in 2018 to focus on its core healthcare and medical nutrition products.
