Company intelligence / Profile preview
The East Asiatic Company (EAC) was a historic Danish conglomerate that played a pivotal role in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors in Southeast Asia for over a century. Through its specialized divisions, EAC Pharma and EAC Healthcare, the company operated as a leading provider of market expansion services, logistics, and distribution for international life science brands. EAC was also the founder and long-time owner of the infant nutrition brand Dumex, which it eventually divested to focus on its core service businesses. In 2005, EAC exited the healthcare industry entirely by selling its pharmaceutical distribution business to the Swiss group DKSH. The remaining corporate entity eventually rebranded as the Santa Fe Group, shifting its focus to global relocation services.
