Eaton Apothecary was a community-focused pharmacy chain based in Massachusetts, specializing in retail pharmacy services, prescription fulfillment, and clinical care. The company operated numerous locations throughout the Greater Boston area, offering personalized medication therapy management, immunizations, and medical equipment. In 2017, Walgreens acquired the retail pharmacy business of Eaton Apothecary, integrating its patient files and operations into the Walgreens network. Prior to the acquisition, Eaton Apothecary was recognized for its commitment to local healthcare and its role as a trusted provider of pharmaceutical services in the region. The company also provided specialized services to long-term care facilities and community health centers, some of which continued under the Apothecare Pharmacy brand. Following the deal, most Eaton Apothecary retail storefronts were either closed or converted to Walgreens locations.
