Echo Therapeutics was a medical device company focused on developing non-invasive continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems and transdermal drug delivery technologies. The company's flagship product, the Symphony tCGM System, utilized a needle-free skin preparation device called Prelude to provide real-time glucose readings for patients with diabetes and those in critical care settings. Despite achieving CE Mark approval for Symphony in Europe, the company faced significant financial challenges and regulatory hurdles in the United States. Echo Therapeutics eventually ceased operations and underwent liquidation after failing to secure necessary funding for further clinical trials and commercial expansion.
