Company intelligence / Profile preview
EEG Spectrum is a pioneering neurofeedback company that was instrumental in the clinical development and commercialization of EEG biofeedback. Founded in 1988 by Siegfried and Susan Othmer, the company developed the 'Othmer Method' and the EEGer software platform to treat neurological and psychiatric conditions such as ADHD, epilepsy, and PTSD through brainwave self-regulation. Although the original corporate entity, EEG Spectrum International, underwent restructuring in the early 2000s, the name continues to represent a leading provider of professional training, research, and clinical services. Currently associated with Dr. Joel Lubar and the Southeastern Neurofeedback Institute, the company focuses on advanced neurofeedback techniques, including quantitative EEG (QEEG) and LORETA analysis.
