Effect Hope

Effect Hope is a Canadian Christian global health organization dedicated to the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), including leprosy, lymphatic filariasis, and Buruli ulcer. Founded over 130 years ago, the organization works through partnerships with local governments and international health agencies to provide medical treatment, disability care, and community-based rehabilitation. Their strategic focus includes disease mapping, health worker training, and the distribution of essential medicines to vulnerable populations in Africa and Asia. Effect Hope also engages in research and advocacy to address the social stigma and systemic barriers that prevent effective disease control and patient recovery. The organization is a member of the International Federation of Anti-Leprosy Associations (ILEP) and collaborates closely with the World Health Organization to strengthen local health systems.
