Egyptian Liver Hospital

The Egyptian Liver Hospital (ELH), also known as the Egyptian Liver Research Institute and Hospital (ELRIAH), is a leading non-profit medical and research institution located in Sherbin, Egypt. Founded in 2011 by the Association of Liver Patients Care (ALPC) under the leadership of Prof. Gamal Shiha, the hospital is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and research of liver and gastrointestinal diseases. It played a pivotal role in Egypt's national campaign to eliminate Hepatitis C, providing advanced care including interventional radiology, endoscopy, and specialized surgery. The facility operates as a center of excellence, conducting approximately 5-6 clinical trials annually and publishing specialized scientific journals in hepatology. ELH serves over 100,000 patients each year, offering high-quality medical services to both paying and non-paying patients through public donations and international partnerships.
