Egyptian Vaccine Manufacturers Alliance

The Egyptian Vaccine Manufacturers Alliance (EVMA) is a strategic consortium of Egypt's leading pharmaceutical and biological product manufacturers, including VACSERA, EIPICO, and Pharco. Established to bolster national and regional health security, the alliance focuses on the localization of vaccine production, technology transfer, and the development of a robust supply chain for the African and Middle Eastern markets. EVMA coordinates efforts across various vaccine technologies, including mRNA, viral vectors, and inactivated viruses, aiming to transform Egypt into a global hub for vaccine manufacturing. The alliance plays a critical role in public-private partnerships and international collaborations with organizations like the WHO and various global biotech firms. Through its members, the alliance manages large-scale manufacturing facilities capable of fill-and-finish operations as well as end-to-end drug substance production. Its primary goal is to reduce dependency on imports and ensure the availability of affordable, high-quality vaccines for the Egyptian population and the broader African continent.
