Company intelligence / Profile preview
eHealth Exchange is the largest public-private health information network in the United States, facilitating the secure exchange of clinical data across all 50 states. Originally established as a federal program under the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC), it transitioned to an independent non-profit to foster nationwide interoperability. The network connects major federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Social Security Administration, with thousands of hospitals, medical groups, and pharmacies. By providing a standardized framework for data sharing, eHealth Exchange enables healthcare providers to access real-time patient information, improving care coordination and clinical decision-making. It is also a designated Qualified Health Information Network (QHIN) under the federal TEFCA initiative.
