EHS Nova Scotia is the provincial emergency medical services (EMS) system responsible for providing pre-hospital emergency care and medical transport across Nova Scotia, Canada. The organization operates a comprehensive fleet of ground ambulances and the EHS LifeFlight air ambulance program, which provides specialized critical care transport via helicopter and fixed-wing aircraft. While the system is overseen and funded by the Nova Scotia Department of Health and Wellness, its day-to-day operations are managed by Medavie Health Services through a long-term contractual agreement. EHS Nova Scotia also integrates community paramedicine programs and a centralized medical communications center to optimize emergency response and patient outcomes throughout the region.
