Eksote, officially the South Karelia Social and Health Care District, was a joint municipal authority in Finland responsible for providing integrated health and social services to the residents of the South Karelia region. Headquartered in Lappeenranta, it operated the South Karelia Central Hospital and various primary care centers, specialized medical care units, and social service facilities. The organization was a pioneer in integrating primary care, specialized care, and social services into a single administrative entity to improve patient pathways. On January 1, 2023, Eksote's operations and staff were transferred to the South Karelia Welfare Region (Etelä-Karjalan hyvinvointialue) as part of a national healthcare reform in Finland.
