Elamex

Elamex was a prominent Mexican contract manufacturing organization (CMO) that provided manufacturing, assembly, and shelter services to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across the medical device, electronics, and automotive sectors. Headquartered in Ciudad Juárez and operating under the Maquiladora program, the company specialized in the cost-effective production and assembly of medical components and finished devices for U.S.-based healthcare companies. Elamex maintained high quality standards, including ISO 13485 certification and FDA registration for its medical manufacturing facilities. After being publicly traded on the NASDAQ, the company underwent a series of restructurings in the early 2000s, eventually divesting its core manufacturing assets to focus on the food industry through its subsidiary, Mount Franklin Foods.
