Elektron Eye Technology

Elektron Eye Technology was a UK ophthalmic medical device company focused on instruments for the detection and monitoring of glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. It operated as a subsidiary of Elektron Technology and marketed products including the Henson visual field perimeters and the MPS II Macular Pigment Screener. In July 2020, Topcon Healthcare acquired the Henson perimeter product line, including the Henson 9000 and 7000, and some staff transferred to Topcon. The legal entity Elektron Eye Technology Limited was later dissolved in June 2023. The company was healthcare-related, but it was not a therapeutics developer; its business centered on commercial ophthalmic screening and monitoring devices.
