Ellis Hospital

Ellis Hospital is a 438-bed community teaching hospital and the flagship facility of the Ellis Medicine healthcare system, located in Schenectady, New York. Founded in 1891, the hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical services, including emergency care, advanced cardiac surgery at the Wright Heart Center, and specialized cancer treatment. As a non-profit institution, it serves as a primary healthcare hub for the Capital Region, offering primary care, secondary care, and outpatient services. The hospital is also deeply involved in medical education through its various residency programs and the Belanger School of Nursing. In recent years, Ellis Hospital has entered into a strategic management affiliation with St. Peter's Health Partners to enhance clinical integration and regional healthcare delivery.
