Company intelligence / Profile preview
Elvion AG was a Swiss biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of innovative small molecule therapeutics for the treatment of autoimmune diseases and cancer. Originally founded as Applied Analytix, the company was renamed Elvion in 2005 to reflect its transition into a clinical-stage drug development organization. Its lead program, vidofludimus (formerly ELV-001), is a potent DHODH inhibitor that has since advanced through clinical trials for multiple inflammatory indications. In 2006, Elvion was acquired by the German biotechnology firm 4SC AG, which integrated Elvion's pipeline and expertise into its own development portfolio.
