Emdeon Practice Services was a leading provider of clinical and administrative software solutions for physician practices in the United States. The company specialized in practice management systems, electronic medical records (EMR), and revenue cycle management services, notably maintaining the Medical Manager and Intergy software lines. Originally operating as a division of WebMD Corporation (which rebranded to Emdeon in 2005), it served over 20,000 physician practices. In September 2006, the division was acquired by The Sage Group for $565 million to form Sage Healthcare. Through subsequent mergers and acquisitions, its legacy products eventually became part of Greenway Health.
