Emergency

EMERGENCY is an international non-governmental organization founded in 1994 by Gino Strada to provide free, high-quality medical and surgical care to victims of war, landmines, and poverty. The organization operates a network of hospitals, clinics, and first aid posts in conflict-affected regions, including Afghanistan, Iraq, Sudan, and Sierra Leone. Beyond emergency surgery and trauma care, EMERGENCY provides specialized services such as pediatrics, maternity care, and cardiac surgery through its Center of Excellence in Cardiac Surgery in Khartoum. The organization is committed to promoting a culture of peace and solidarity while maintaining high clinical standards in resource-limited settings.
