EMH Regional Healthcare System was a community-based healthcare provider headquartered in Elyria, Ohio, serving the residents of Lorain County and western Cuyahoga County. Founded in 1908 as Elyria Memorial Hospital, the system expanded over several decades to include multiple campuses, including EMH Amherst Hospital and various outpatient facilities. The organization provided comprehensive medical services including emergency medicine, cardiovascular care, oncology, and surgical services. In 2013, the system merged with University Hospitals (UH) of Cleveland to enhance its clinical capabilities and provide patients with better access to specialized care and research. Following the merger, the primary facility was renamed UH Elyria Medical Center and continues to operate as a regional hub within the University Hospitals network.
