Emory-Adventist Hospital

Emory-Adventist Hospital was a 102-bed community hospital located in Smyrna, Georgia, that operated as a joint venture between Emory Healthcare and the Adventist Health System. The facility provided a comprehensive range of medical services, including emergency care, outpatient surgery, diagnostic imaging, and physical therapy, primarily serving the South Cobb County area. After nearly 40 years of operation, the hospital officially closed on October 31, 2014, citing sustained financial losses and a shift in the local healthcare landscape toward outpatient care. Following its closure, the physical assets were eventually acquired by WellStar Health System for redevelopment into a health park.
