Company intelligence / Profile preview
Enancio was a French genomics software company focused on lossless compression and decompression of next-generation sequencing data. Its technology was designed to reduce genomic data storage and transfer costs while preserving data integrity, and it complemented sequencing informatics workflows rather than developing therapeutics. In July 2020, Illumina acquired Enancio's compression software and integrated the technology into its DRAGEN and cloud storage offerings. Enancio therefore should be viewed as a healthcare/bioinformatics infrastructure company, not a drug developer, with no disclosed therapeutic pipeline.
