Endovasc

Endovasc was a Texas-based biotechnology company focused on cardiovascular therapeutics. Its lead programs included ANGIOGENIX—a nicotine-based small molecule targeting the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor for therapeutic angiogenesis in heart disease—and Liprostin, a liposomal prostaglandin formulation aimed at preventing restenosis and improving circulation. Both reached FDA-approved Phase III clinical trial status by the early/mid–2000s. The company also developed biodegradable stents, nutraceutical products for muscle mass/obesity in diabetics, and pursued a model emphasizing late-stage preclinical/early clinical development with minimal debt. The company has since ceased operations.
