Company intelligence / Profile preview
Engaged Therapeutics was a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of next-generation oncology treatments. The company's lead asset was ET-101, an oral selective estrogen receptor degrader (SERD) designed for the treatment of patients with metastatic breast cancer. ET-101 was engineered to provide superior potency and oral bioavailability compared to first-generation SERDs like fulvestrant. In August 2017, Engaged Therapeutics was acquired by Radius Health for an upfront payment of $25 million plus potential future milestones. The acquisition was intended to strengthen Radius Health's oncology portfolio, although development of ET-101 was eventually deprioritized in favor of the company's other SERD candidate, elacestrant.
