Overview

Enleofen developed a first-in-class IL-11 inhibitor platform. Boehringer Ingelheim has licensed this platform and initiated Phase 1 clinical trials (NCT05658107) with BI 765423, an IL-11 inhibitor antibody, to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy volunteers. Pre-clinical studies have shown that anti-IL-11 treatment has potential to stop and even reverse fibrosis in different fibrotic diseases.
