Company intelligence / Profile preview
Enturia, formerly known as Medi-Flex, was a specialty pharmaceutical and medical device company focused on infection prevention. The company's flagship product, ChloraPrep, is a rapid-acting, persistent, and broad-spectrum antiseptic used for preoperative skin preparation and site maintenance. Enturia developed proprietary applicator technology to deliver its antiseptic formulations safely and effectively, reducing the risk of human error and contamination. The company was acquired by Cardinal Health in 2008 for $490 million and subsequently became part of CareFusion, which was later acquired by Becton Dickinson (BD). Today, its products remain a standard of care in clinical settings for reducing the risk of surgical site infections and catheter-related bloodstream infections.
