Overview
Enzyme by Design’s lead program, EbD-1117, is a humanized L-asparaginase engineered to eliminate glutaminase activity—reducing the toxic side effects seen in current asparaginases. In mouse models of T-cell and B-cell ALL, EbD-1117 demonstrated efficacy comparable to standard therapies but with significantly less weight loss and reduced liver toxicity. The company aims to enter clinical trials after completing IND-enabling studies.
