Prior to its acquisition in 2008 by St. Jude Medical for approximately $91–92 million, EP MedSystems was a commercial-stage developer and manufacturer of medical devices for cardiac electrophysiology labs. Its products were used globally in hundreds of cath labs and included workstations for recording/stimulation as well as intracardiac ultrasound systems. In 2007 the company reported net sales of about $19 million.
