EP Minerals is an industrial minerals and engineered materials business focused on diatomaceous earth, perlite, clay and related specialty mineral products. The company supplies filter aids, absorbents, catalysts, carriers and functional additives used across food and beverage processing, biofuels, agriculture, water purification, oil and gas, paint, plastics and other industrial markets. It is not a biotech, pharma or healthcare company, although some of its materials are used in applications such as pharmaceuticals and water purification. EP Minerals was acquired by U.S. Silica in 2018 and continues to operate as a branded business within U.S. Silica's industrial and specialty products portfolio.
