Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the company specialized in caring for medically fragile children and adults. Its service offerings included private duty nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and enteral nutrition. The company grew significantly through a series of acquisitions, expanding its footprint across multiple states. In 2017, Epic Health Services was acquired by Bain Capital and merged with PSA Healthcare. This merger resulted in the formation of Aveanna Healthcare, which became one of the largest pediatric home health care companies in the nation.
