Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago

The Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago (EFGC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving individuals and families affected by epilepsy and seizure disorders. Founded in 1946, the foundation provides a comprehensive suite of services including support groups, educational programs, advocacy, and case management throughout the Chicago metropolitan area and 44 surrounding counties. Their mission is to lead the fight to overcome the challenges of living with epilepsy and to accelerate therapies to stop seizures, find cures, and save lives. EFGC offers specialized programs such as Camp Flame Catcher for children and provides seizure first aid training to schools and workplaces. By fostering community awareness and providing direct assistance, the foundation works to ensure that people with seizures can participate in all life experiences.
