Episurf Medical develops personalized orthopedic implants and surgical instruments to treat localized cartilage injuries—primarily targeting "gap-patients" who are too old for biological repair but too young or active for total joint replacement. Their flagship product line includes Episealer® individualized implants and Epiguide® drill guides. The company leverages advanced MRI-based imaging to create custom solutions tailored to each patient's anatomy. As of mid–2024 they have surpassed one thousand clinical implantations worldwide. They are commercially active in Europe with recent distribution partnerships—including Joint Operations—and have initiated their first sales through Johnson & Johnson’s distributor network in the United States while awaiting final FDA clearance for their big toe implant.
