Company intelligence / Profile preview
Equinox Ophthalmic has developed the Multi-Pressure Dial (MPD) goggle system that applies localized periocular negative pressure to lower intraocular pressure; a prospective randomized controlled trial in suspected glaucoma, ocular hypertension, and open-angle glaucoma showed that 89.7% of treated eyes achieved ≥20% IOP reduction at 90 days versus 3.4% of controls, with lid and periorbital edema as the most common adverse events, supporting safety and efficacy but requiring longer-term data.[1]
