EQUIP, Right to Care

Right to Care is a leading South African non-profit organization founded in 2001 to address the HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) epidemics. The organization provides a wide range of healthcare services, including HIV testing, antiretroviral therapy (ART), and medical male circumcision, while also offering technical assistance to the South African Department of Health. Right to Care leads the EQUIP consortium, a major USAID-funded global health initiative that scales up innovative HIV treatment and prevention strategies across more than 17 countries. The organization is recognized for its technological innovations, such as the "ATM pharmacy" automated dispensing units and advanced data analytics platforms designed to improve patient adherence and healthcare delivery in resource-limited settings.
