Erber Group

Erber Group was an Austrian life-science-oriented company focused on animal nutrition and health and on food and feed safety diagnostics. Its main businesses were Biomin, which provided mycotoxin risk management, gut health performance solutions, probiotics, and phytogenic feed additives for livestock, and Romer Labs, which provided diagnostic solutions for food and feed safety. In 2020, Royal DSM completed the acquisition of Erber Group's Biomin and Romer Labs businesses for an enterprise value of EUR 980 million, while smaller units including Sanphar and EFB were excluded from the transaction. As a result, Erber Group no longer operates as an independent active company, although its businesses and technologies continue under successor ownership structures.
