Ericsson Venture Partners (EVP) was a venture capital firm established in 2000 as a joint venture between the Swedish telecommunications giant Ericsson, Merrill Lynch, Investor AB, and Industrivärden. The firm managed a $300 million fund primarily focused on early-stage and growth-stage investments in the communications technology sector, including mobile internet, network infrastructure, and wireless software. Operating out of Stockholm and New York, EVP aimed to capitalize on the rapid expansion of mobile connectivity and digital services. The firm was later succeeded by Eastven Venture Partners, which continued to manage the portfolio as an independent entity. While some industry databases may list broad sector interests, EVP's core business was centered on telecommunications and information technology rather than life sciences or biotechnology.
