Company intelligence / Profile preview
Escient Pharmaceuticals developed first-in-class oral small molecule antagonists targeting novel neurosensory-inflammatory pathways via MRGPRs. Lead program EP262 showed promising preclinical results improving atopic dermatitis-like lesions and type II inflammation markers; early human studies indicated safety/tolerability at all tested doses. The pipeline also included EP547 for severe pruritus conditions such as cholestatic pruritus.
