EternaTear is a clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on the development of Lacripep (ET-101), a first-in-class topical therapy for dry eye disease (DED). The company's technology is based on the discovery of Lacritin, a natural human tear protein that is deficient in patients with dry eye. ET-101 is a synthetic peptide fragment of Lacritin designed to restore tear film stability and promote corneal healing by stimulating natural basal tearing.
