Eugene Science is a South Korean biotechnology company that specialized in the development of functional food ingredients and nutraceuticals, primarily focusing on cardiovascular health. The company achieved significant recognition for its proprietary water-solubilization technology, which enabled the incorporation of hydrophobic plant sterols into various food and beverage formats. Its flagship product, Eu-cholesterol, was designed to lower LDL cholesterol levels and was commercialized through a major global licensing agreement with Archer Daniels Midland (ADM).
