European Congress on Obesity

The European Association for the Study of Obesity (EASO) is the primary scientific and professional organization representing the obesity community in Europe. Founded in 1986, EASO promotes research, education, and policy initiatives to improve the lives of people living with obesity. The association is best known for organizing the annual European Congress on Obesity (ECO), which serves as a major global platform for disseminating clinical trial results and scientific breakthroughs in metabolic health. EASO also coordinates the Collaborating Centres for Obesity Management (COMs) network and provides evidence-based clinical practice guidelines for healthcare providers. Through its advocacy work, the organization collaborates with the European Union and the World Health Organization to prioritize obesity on the public health agenda.
