European Vision Institute

The European Vision Institute (EVI) is a European Economic Interest Grouping (EEIG) that serves as a central platform for coordinating vision research and ophthalmology across Europe. It operates the European Vision Institute Clinical Research Network (EVI.CT.N), a consortium of certified clinical sites dedicated to performing high-quality, multicenter clinical trials for eye diseases. EVI facilitates the translation of basic scientific discoveries into clinical practice by providing standardized infrastructure, site certification, and expert consultation for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors. The organization plays a critical role in harmonizing clinical research standards and fostering international collaborations to accelerate the development of new ophthalmic therapies.
