EuroVacc

EuroVacc (the European Vaccine Foundation) is a Swiss-based non-profit biotechnology organization dedicated to the development and clinical evaluation of vaccines against HIV and other infectious diseases. Established in 2002 as an evolution of the European Vaccine Effort against HIV/AIDS consortium, the foundation facilitates translational research by bridging academic discovery with industrial expertise and clinical trial management. Its primary technological focus includes the NYVAC poxvirus vector and DNA-based prime-boost immunization strategies. EuroVacc coordinates and sponsors numerous Phase I and II clinical trials globally, partnering with major entities such as the HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN), IAVI, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition to its core HIV research, the organization has expanded its portfolio to include therapeutic and prophylactic programs for COVID-19, influenza, and tuberculosis.
