The EVAHEART®2 Left Ventricular Assist Device has demonstrated over 9 years of durability testing with no mechanical failures. It has regulatory clearance and clinical use in Japan and ongoing pivotal clinical trials in the US under an FDA-approved IDE. Over 183 devices have been implanted as of July 2018. The system features a hydraulically levitated centrifugal pump and novel double cuff tipless inflow cannula designed to reduce complications such as stroke and clot formation.
